Farewell.

A letter to the Total Exercise Physiology Community

It is with much sadness, that we announce that this week will be the last week of seeing patients at Total Exercise Physiology, as we move to finalise our tenancy on 31 January 2024.

In the last 10 years we have had so many amazing opportunities to be involved in your lives. We have shared births of your children and grandchildren, birthdays, weddings, travel and most of all you have shared your health journey with us. You have trusted us to reach goals and maximise good living through our tools of exercise. For that we thank you. The pride we have in our community cannot be put into words. TEP was created to build a community that was welcoming and supportive of all. It has been amazing to see that each of you have embraced this quality and are so supportive and respectful of each other. For that we thank you.

The decision to close our doors is not one that I, Kate have made lightly or easily. At the end of the day I have made a choice that, I hope, in time will be the best choice I can for myself. I have been incredibly blessed to be supported to follow my dream and lead this community. This would not have been possible without my family and closest friends. However, leading and business ownership is all encompassing (the good the bad and the ugly), and over the last 10 years I have often worked 6-7 days a week to make it all work. I have ridden the highs and lows of the last 10 years, growth of my business, amazing patients, great students, many who have become staff and dear friends, advocating for our young profession, global pandemics, the great GST debate, supporting my parents not to mention my own life trials.

So, with that said it is time for me to prioritising spending quality and present time with those closest to me. To invest in me and my future. I have told many of you over the years to be kind to yourselves as you make a life transition and so that is what I am hoping to do in the next few months.

Shari, Jamie and I will all be in the clinic this week to conduct regular appointments and classes. If you require a report for your records, please let us know so we can conduct an appropriate session to be able to write this for you, (normal fees will apply). Should you need our assistance in finding an alternate service provider, we are happy to discuss this with you individually in the coming weeks.

With sincerest thanks for being in our community and part of my dream.

Kate and the TEP team.
